Saruman.
No artists for Topps' Lord of the Rings Masterpieces card set were allowed to draw Saruman (Christopher Lee) due to Lee's family wanting to approve every sketch before they were inserted. Topps thought it best just to skip Saruman all together. Needless to say many of us were upset but nothing we could do would change anything. So after the sketch cards were completed I completed this Saruman. It's one of my favorite pieces. Colored pencils, black ink. Mi teinte paper (flannel grey) Approximately 8" x 10" |
